Maybe I just should have went to LDS Conference. Any mile, I opened my Facebook page, and found junior up at Charlie’s place was having a fit over the duplication of A1, with Cooter’s here as in Cooter’s A1 Toewing. Seems Dad never had the discussion yet. In any case I am not in a mood or even a mindset to battle with family politics. As far as I’m concerned shy of getting my title to the fucking car so I can crunch it, I’m no longer in any way connected with A1 Towing & Repair. I also get the feeling that a few others aren’t wanting to be connected to A1 either. Ricky is about to dump Charlie, Rob already has, Anica is looking elsewhere, and oh yes his other protégé Penske already dumped A1, me I began working that way in November when the feeling at Thanksgiving was not one of glad you’re here, it was more like who the fuck invited you? Same for Christmas and no gift either. Okay then so we move on. That said lets get into why I’m here and why except for a few areas of operation in fringe border towns in Idaho, that Cooter’s A1 Toewing, moved.
It was not to form the toewing service. That I could have done in Tweaker Flatts, the reasons I moved here is, get HazzardAyre and all up and streaming and being heard and seen, and second to recertify so I can fly. Followed by reigniting AyreWolf Aviation, of Utah/Wyoming/Idaho. At least to the point AyreWolf Aviation was prior to 2008. At that time, I caught a residual extra paycheck from AyreWolf Aviation as the on paper owner. In operation cousin Gordon ran the operation but he got hitched, moved to a remote section of Alaska, and Randy has been holding it together ever since. When Cousin Bud rode herd on AyreWolf it ran like clock work, when Cousin Bud got to the point of diminished mental capacity, Gordon oversaw the bank accounts, when Gordon split, he left nothing to work with. I’m here now and been wading through papers and contracts and bank statements trying to piece it all together.
AyreWolf Aviation’s central hangar is coming up for lease renewal, in July, let’s face it without AyreWolf Aviation, there is no and can’t very well be any Cooter’s A1 Toewing. Or Hazzard County Choppers MC Shop for that matter. Without AyreWolf Aviation 65% of the Knytes-of-Anarchy and extension Confederate Steele/HazzardAyre will be crippled. Making my big move all for near nothing. I do not want to be sitting here with manure on my face.
So divorcing myself from Charles Legg, A1 Towing and that entire mess, was smart. I deleted the A1 philes, I deleted the Facebook Friend links, and as soon as I get my own hoodie, with AyreWolf’s and one with Cooter’s A1 Toewing on it, that one Charlie gave me gets torched.
I was going to go to all of the places Charlie has been using to boost his reputation, Pinterest, Facebook, etc. naw I will not lower myself to that, but when Junior who fails to read everything he’s sent, more over how things are spelled, starts barking at me, I say fuck them. I was toewing long before A1 was even a anything. Could I go back up there and strip the king of his crown? Yes. But as far as I’m concerned A1 and Charlie is dead to me I flat do not need the farting around.
For me the next 9 months is divided between AyreWolf Aviation and HazzardAyre. Cooter’s Toewing will be built in stealth.
Now need to say this. I had a thing happen to me the other night waiting on the gig of a toewers get together in Salt Lake City/Midvale. Chris at Rocky Mountain said there was a meeting of the Utah State Towing Association. On the list of those being invited was several from up here in Ogden, as well as my vision of the who I’d marry in a split second Lynn at Intermountain, I went.
I got there and again the feeling was, who are you and what the are you doing here? Apparently this was not a meeting of the state association, more of the Salt Lake Valley Association or some such. Did have a great visit with Buck from Bucks Towing there in SLC, but damn everybody else was rather standoffish. The Toew Bros Club never has been that way to new members or prospects. Sure your sort of sniffed out at the beginning, but we believe that all of us in toewing are in this industry together. What effects, legislative wise, regulatory wise, etc, one of my competitors, is going to effect me as well. It goes to a slogan a hot rod club in northern Idaho had once that we adopted here in the Toew Bros. United we toew, divided we park.
In closing let this be notice, myself and Charles Legg are no longer affiliated, more over Cooter’s A1 ToeWing of Utah/Wyoming, is not A1 Towing & Repair of Twin Falls Idaho.
